We starting putting together sounds to make words !

We take out certain letters and we use those letters to make words.

For example: I said the word "cap" and then said it slow enough to hear each sound in the word

After we have made the word then I say "take the c away from cap and put another letter in  to make the word man" and so on.

They did very well for it being their first time !

We had a lot of fun and we are well on our way to reading and writing words!
